This expression combines คุณ, “you,” with ล่ะ, a particle that brings up someone or something for contrast within the current topic. The full question is understood from context. For example, after being asked how you are, สบายดี คุณล่ะ means “I’m fine. How about you?” Although brief, it is natural and courteous in everyday conversation. The expanded form แล้วคุณล่ะ is also very common.
