Explanation

The central image of หลืบ is a narrow, partly concealed area where a surface folds or recedes inward. Caution

For an ordinary corner of a room, มุม is usually more natural; for a simple gap between objects, ซอก or ช่อง may be more appropriate. หลืบ implies an inward, partly concealed area. It should also not be confused with the verb หลบ, meaning “avoid,” “dodge,” or “hide.”
