Explanation
รึยัง is a conversational contraction of หรือยัง. It normally follows an action or state: “action/state + รึยัง.” The question asks whether the expected point has been reached or whether it is still pending. It can follow verbs as well as words describing a state, such as พร้อม (“ready”). When the subject is clear from context, รึยัง? can stand alone with the sense of “Yet?” or “Done yet?” A completed action is commonly answered with แล้ว, as in กินแล้ว (“I’ve eaten”). If it has not happened, ยังไม่... is used, as in ยังไม่กิน (“I haven’t eaten yet”).
