Explanation
โค is a somewhat formal and technical noun meaning cattle. It is especially common when cattle are discussed as livestock or farm animals. By itself, it does not specify sex. โคเพศผู้ means a male and โคเพศเมีย a female. The usual classifier is ตัว, as in โคสิบตัว, “ten head of cattle.”
