Explanation
ตะโกน centers on using a voice that is much louder than normal. The purpose may be to reach someone at a distance, be heard over noise, warn others, or express a strong emotion. It commonly combines with another verb: ตะโกนเรียก means “call out loudly,” ตะโกนบอก means “tell someone loudly,” and ตะโกนถาม means “ask loudly.” To introduce the words being shouted, use ตะโกนว่า… (“shout that…”).
