ท่าที does not primarily refer to a person's private thoughts or feelings. It refers to how those thoughts or feelings become visible through facial expressions, tone, statements, and behavior. In personal situations, it often means “attitude” or “demeanor.” In politics, business, diplomacy, and negotiations, it often means “stance” or “position.” Common patterns include แสดงท่าที “show an attitude or stance,” มีท่าที “display a certain attitude,” and ดูท่าที or รอดูท่าที “watch or wait to see how someone responds.” In patterns such as ไม่มีท่าทีว่าจะ…, it means that someone shows no sign of doing something.
Usage
It is used when describing whether someone appears friendly, cold, cautious, opposed, or otherwise inclined. It is common in everyday interactions as well as news reports, meetings, negotiations, business, and political discussion.
Caution
