This is a neutral word used both in the news and in everyday discussions. It commonly appears as the subject of actions such as announcing policies, allocating funds, and addressing public problems. The classifier for successive governments or administrations is ชุด. รัฐบาลชุดใหม่ means “the new government,” and รัฐบาลชุดนี้ means “the current administration.” รัฐบาล can also follow another noun to indicate a government connection. For example, โรงเรียนรัฐบาล means a public, government-funded school.

Usage
