Its central idea is that something is not a problem, not serious, or not worth worrying about. ไม่ marks negation, and ไร is related to the idea of “what” or “anything.” In actual conversation, however, it is best learned as one complete expression rather than translated word by word. It can stand alone. For polite speech, men commonly say ไม่เป็นไรครับ and women ไม่เป็นไรค่ะ. Among people who know each other well, ไม่เป็นไร by itself is natural. Repeating it as ไม่เป็นไร ๆ adds a soothing sense like “It's okay, really.”
Usage
It is commonly used after an apology, in response to a minor mistake, to reassure someone who is worried, or to say that one's condition or situation is fine.
