ซะอีก is the conversational form of the fuller expression เสียอีก. It normally follows a clause or comparative expression. Its central idea is a mismatch with expectations: the reality may be the opposite of what someone assumed, or the degree may exceed what was expected. It therefore adds more than factual information—it highlights surprise, correction, or contrast. After a comparative with กว่า, it often means “even more than expected.” In the pattern แล้วยัง ... ซะอีก, it adds another surprising fact and frequently conveys annoyance or criticism, similar to “and on top of that.”
Usage
