It is natural in both conversation and writing.
Usage
Commonly used for work, plans, meetings, negotiations, procedures, and journeys that proceed without difficulty. It also describes a stable life, marriage, or relationship with little conflict. The pattern ขอให้…ราบรื่น is used to wish that something will go smoothly.
Caution
For a physically flat or even road, table, or surface, ราบ or เรียบ is normally used. ราบรื่น mainly describes processes, lives, and relationships figuratively. It does not mean “fast”; something can be slow and still be ราบรื่น if it proceeds without difficulty.
